LISBON, PORTUGAL: At 65, Madonna is not slowing down, according to her longtime friend and video director, Ed Steinberg, even though she recently had a health emergency.

Getting ready for her rescheduled The Celebration Tour dates after a near-fatal battle with a bacterial infection, Madonna's work ethic continues to impress Steinberg.

What was Madonna's first song?

Madonna's first song was ‘Everybody', released on October 6, 1982. Steinberg directed the music video for her debut single and holds her in high regard.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Steinberg described Madonna as an "A++ class personality" but expressed concerns about the isolation that can come with decades of fame.

In June, Madonna faced a health scare that led to several days in the ICU. Despite this setback, her determination and commitment to her career remain undiminished.

Why was Madonna hospitalized?

As per NBC News, Madonna expressed gratitude and conveyed that she considers herself fortunate to be alive and appreciates the unwavering support of her loved ones.

The 'Queen of Pop' was hospitalized due to a bacterial infection, due to which her international tour's launch had to be postponed.

Steinberg said, “She's old, had a couple of kids and is still touring and it is amazing. Madonna is on a mission. The mission takes up 24 hours of your day."

He added, “I've worked with mostly every rock star: David Bowie, everyone – she's the one at a relatively young age who took no prisoners. Nothing will stop her."

Steinberg further said, "She was like a freight train. She did everything really carefully and that train ploughed down the line and nothing on the line got in her way."

"Even from the start with the management and record label she had a business savvy to sign up to and align herself with the best people," he added.

"Madonna is not just a pop star, but a cultural and music icon. She represented for young women a freedom on how to dress, how to act sexually and socially and financially. She is a shrewd cookie," he said.

Who is Madonna's ex-husband?

According to People, Madonna has been married twice. Her first marriage was with actor Sean Penn, from 1985 to 1989.

After separating from Penn, she was married to Guy Ritchie from 2000 to 2008.

In this context, Stenberg said, "I think she is someone who can go through men for her whole life, because she is the boss. Not everyone needs to be married. People like Madonna do not experience traditional love."

"Being a mum is the focus of her emotional energy. She does not need a man or woman to complete her," he added.

How many biological children does Madonna have?

According to People, Madonna has six children. She has two biological children, Lourdes and Rocco.

Madonna has four adopted children, David, Mercy, and twins Stella and Esther.

Steinberg said, “Madonna has magic - pure and simple. There is an alchemy in her DNA that just made her the perfect pop star."

He further stated, "It is not luck. She has talent, intelligence, her work ethic is extraordinary and many people will not realize that," commending the superstar's non-stop work ethic.
