AUSTIN, TEXAS: One of the year's highly awaited boxing matches took an unexpected turn when MMA fighter Dillon Danis caused controversy in the final round by attempting a double-leg takedown and a guillotine choke.

In his first-ever boxing match, Danis was disqualified due to his unconventional actions, rather than due to Logan Paul's performance as judged on scorecards.

This outcome had financial consequences for those who had placed bets on the fight, with streamer Felix 'xQc' Lengyel expressing his dismay on X (formerly Twitter) after losing $820K.

xQc loses $820,000 on Dillon Danis vs Logan Paul match bet

Danis' disqualification was questioned by xQc, who also criticized the MMA star for choosing to "troll" during the match and revealed that he had lost $820,000 as a result.

Those who had placed bets on Logan Paul winning by a decision or the fight ending through a decision were left disappointed by Danis' decision to essentially abandon the boxing match and opt for wrestling with Paul, considering it a poor outcome.

The situation became even more frustrating for xQc since Paul had been leading in every round, as indicated by the scorecards, and it was clear that he was just moments away from securing a victory by decision.

The specific amount of money xQc wagered on the fight and the outcome they bet on remains uncertain. However, before the match, some betting platforms offered odds of +310 on Paul winning by decision, as reported by Dexerto.

Given these odds, xQc would have been just seconds away from earning a $3,362,000 payoff, a possible profit of $2,542,000, if he had staked $820,000 on Paul to win by decision.

That's a terrible setback for the streamer, who only this month declared he would stop gambling after staggeringly winning $5,000,000 at an online casino.

Internet accuses xQc of having 'gambling problems'

On platform X, xQc shared his thoughts writing, "HOW IS THAT A DQ? 2 SECONDS ON THE CLOCK? THIS @dillondanis DECIDES TO TROLL AND I LOSE $820K???? HOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW?????"

As soon as X users noticed xQc's monetary loss on an influencer's fight, they started mocking him for "gambling problems."

A user wrote, "You have very big gambling problems if you bet that much on a known troll fight. You might have big mills but you ain't no Drake."

Another one added, "Stop Gambling if you are going to cry about it."

The third commentator wrote, "Wait how much? Seems like an a ridiculous amount of money to bet on anything."

The fourth commentator suggested, "Never bet on influencer boxing brother."
