EUGENE, OREGON: The 14th season of the Diamond League, an annual series of outdoor track and field meets, is currently underway.

The Diamond League's Prefontaine Classic meet will be held September 16 and 17 at Hayward Field in Eugene, USA.

Let’s take a look at some of the hottest female athletes competing in the league.

Lina Muze-Sirma

The 30-year-old Track and field athlete Lina Muze-Sirma is a Javelin thrower with her personal best at 64.87 m. The Latvian athlete is currently World No 6 in Women's Javelin Throw and is married to the 31-year-old Latvian Olympic athlete Zigismunds Sirmais who is also a Javelin thrower.

Sandi Morris

The silver medalist in the pole vault event at the 2016 Summer Olympics is a 31-year-old American pole vault record holder. Currently placed at World No 5 in Women's Pole Vault, her career best is World No 1 which she retained for 45 weeks. Sandi Morris married Bermudian-born long jumper Tyrone Smith in 2019.

Maggie Ewen

Maggie Ewen is an American shot putter and hammer thrower. The 28-year-old Minnesota native is currently the World No 4 at Women's Shot Put and World No 18 at Women's Hammer Throw.

Dina Asher-Smith

The 27-year-old Dina Asher-Smith is the fastest British woman on record and an Olympic gold medalist at the at the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2020 Tokyo Olympics as a part of 4×100 m relay teams.

The current World No 4 at Women's 100 m and World No 7 at Women's 200 m reportedly dated British sprinter Zharnel Hughes for about a year before separating in 2018.

Yaroslava Mahuchikh

The 21-year-old Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the Olympic Bronze medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics. The current World No 1 in Women's High Jump is allegedly dating the son of her coach Tetiana Stepanova, Nazar Stepanov.

Valarie Allman

The 28-year-old Delaware native Valarie Allman is a track and field athlete specializing in the discus throw. A gold medalist in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Allmam is currently the World's No 1 in Women's Discus Throw.

Natalia Kaczmarek

The 25-year-old Natalia Kaczmarek is a Polish athlete sprinter specializing in the 400 meters. She won the Gold in the mixed event and Silver in the women's event as part of 4 x 400 m relays at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The current World No 2 at Women's 400m recently got engaged to Polish shot putter, Konrad Bukowiecki in June 2023.

Lieke Klaver

The 25-year-old Lieke Klaver is a Dutch Track and Field athlete competing in Sprinting. The Olympian for the Netherlands reached her career-best ranking at No 5 in 2022.
