NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ sported a rare all-female anchor desk on October 12, Thursday morning led by Robin Roberts after Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos missed the show due to unknown reasons.

Roberts sat in the middle while Rebecca Jarvis and Linsey Davis were next to her, filling in for the absentees, Strahan and Stephanopoulos.

It was a rare moment for all ‘GMA’ fans to witness three female hosts leading the morning show, but it was a pleasant surprise that they couldn’t get enough of it.

The regular ‘GMA’ hosts, Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos decided to sit one out and paved the way for an all-female cast to make an impact on the morning show.

Roberts was excited to have Jarvis and Davis with her. “Who runs GMA this morning? These girls," Roberts said, playing off of the Beyonce song Run the World (Girls) that had played during the introduction.

Her co-host, Jarvis kept up with the Beyonce jokes and said: "We fell into formation, so here we are.”

"Filled with Sisterly Love this morning," Davis said before moving on to the news of the day.

The hosts did not address Strahan and Stephanopoulos' absence and it wasn’t made clear where the men are or when they will return to the morning show.

Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos announce new gigs

The former NFL star recently appeared as a guest judge on the reality dance competition, 'Dancing With the Stars' (DWTS) for the show’s Motown night.

Strahan has been on and off the morning show for a few weeks for various projects.

But the 51-year-old seemed to have really enjoyed spending time as a judge on DWTS and admitted that if given a chance, he would love to return to the show.

Knowing Strahan’s ability to juggle multiple gigs, his co-host, Stephanopoulos teased him recently, “Are you going to add another job to your portfolio now, Michael?” to which Strahan assured that he has no plans to leave ‘GMA.’

The 62-year-old political commentator Stephanopoulos recently turned author as he announced his new book about The White House Situation Room.

He shared the news on his Instagram and captioned the post, “I am incredibly excited to reveal the cover of my new book, The Situation Room: The Inside Story of Presidents in Crisis.”

He continued, “Years in the making, my co-writer, Lisa Dickey and I explore the power, secrecy, and mystery that is the White House Situation Room, the epicenter of crisis management for presidents for more than six decades. The Situation Room is now available for pre-order (link in bio), and will be released on May 14th, 2024!”
