Britney Spears has broken her silence after posting a video dancing with knives that sparked concern among fans. "I started playing in the kitchen with knives today", she wrote on social media alongside the clip, before clarifying: "Don’t worry they are NOT real knives!!! Halloween is soon." One person wrote: "Is Britney Spears okay? Does she need help? Yesterday, she posted a video of herself dancing with two large kitchen knives." Another humoured: "Britney Spears is trolling TMZ by dancing with a set of FAKE knives." Now, the 'Gimme More' singer returned to social media with another disclaimer that she was simply copying Shakira's MTV VMA performance. She wrote: "I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA. These are not real knives. No one needs to worry or call the police. I’m trying to imitate one of my favorite performers Shakira … a performance I was inspired by !!! Cheers to us bad girls who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and take risks." It comes after TMZ claimed law enforcement sources informed the outlet they had received a call about Spears' welfare following the initial upload. Authorities reportedly spoke with her security team who confirmed she was okay, and did not want to talk to officers. This isn't the first time. Earlier in January, fans also asked the police to check on the 41-year-old. At the time, Spears said she loved her fans "but this time things went a little too far". "The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately," she wrote. "This felt like I was being gaslit and bullied once the incident made it to the news and being portrayed once again in a poor and unfair light by the media." The final ever episode of Soccer AM descended into chaos on Saturday after comedian Jack Whitehall made a series of jokes about the Royal Family, Rolf Harris and Ruper Murdoch. The long-running football-themed magazine show was cancelled by its broadcaster Sky earlier this year bringing to an end its nearly 30-year spell on the network. Much like most of the show's history the final episode went out with a bang and a minor bit of controversy. The guest for the final episode included rapper Stormzy, actor Stephen Graham and the aforementioned Whitehall as well as presenters John 'Fenners' Fendley and ex-professional footballer Jimmy Bullard. Speaking to the panel, Whitehall flirted with controversy and was briefly muted when he began making jokes about Sky's owner Rupert Murdoch, the Royal Family and disgraced sex offender Rolf Harris, who died earlier this week from cancer aged 93. Also, I’d take anything, I’d have the one’s they stripped off Rolf.” The joke prompted audible gasps from the audience and crew and Bullard, laughing, stood up and walked off camera. Whitehall then attempted to defend himself adding: "Oh come on Jimmy! It’s the last show, let’s go out with a bang! It’s the end of term!” The 34-year-old stand up then appeared to go a bit too far for the production team and appeared to be muted while making a reference to Rupert Murdoch, which judging by Stephen Graham's face was a bit risque. Whitehall has referenced the controversy. In a tweet, he wrote: "Do not go gentle into that good night. #SoccerAm So much love for this show. Instead, this (very real) photo has sparked a swirl of rumours concerning rapper 6ix9ine’s sexuality. The picture shows 6ix9ine (who also goes by Tekashi69), planting a kiss on the cheek of Mexican singer Eduin Caz, from the band GroupoFirme. Except that it wasn’t a revelation at all, just proof of the power of a sensationalist headline. In fact, Caz posted the original picture to his Instagram account to mark the release of a new collaboration between Groupo Firme and 6ix9ine. Their track, ‘Y ahora’, is a love song about… a woman. And if you watch the music video, you’ll see the two men getting up-close and personal with a couple of scantily clad ladies. And yet, social media users love to consider themselves masters of hints and easter eggs, so apparently the fact 6ix9ine sports rainbow-coloured braids is enough to suggest he’s a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Others took the opportunity to fuel the rumour that the rapper has indulged in gay porn – under an alias – and that his sex tape was leaked to the internet. However, according to AllHipHop, the actor in said X-rated movie bears merely a passing resemblance to the rapper. Furthermore, the 27-year-old admitted to having a girlfriend on Instagram just three days ago when he posted a gushing birthday tribute to model Ariiela Lalangosta. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BESTFRIEND [sic] IN THE WORLD,” he wrote in the caption to a video showing him kissing Lalangosta and showering her with cash. “My girlfriend won’t get mad but we just friends she knows that,” he added.
