Prince Harry uses his celebrity to champion 'Heart of Invictus'
There is a small strata of Hollywood deal-making where who's behind a project -- and with whom the programmer gets to align itself -- carries more weight than the specifics. That would seem to define Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry's producing arrangement with Netflix, which bears fruit this week with "Heart of Invictus," a docuseries about the games devoted to wounded, ill and injured veterans.

Jason Aldean speaks out after 'racist' song becomes smash hit
American singer Jason Aldean has spoken out to thank his fans after his “racist” song Try That In A Small Town becomes a hit. The country singer’s track saw a 999 per cent increase in streams after it began trending last week for its content following the release of the accompanying music video. The tune also made it to number 2 on the Billboard Chart. The lyrics of the song have been accused, by some, of having violent and racist undertones. The chorus says: “Try that in a small town, see how far you make it down the road. Round here we take care of our own. “You cross that line it won't take long for you to find out, I recommend you don't try that in a small town.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter On Twitter, Aldean shared a montage clip featuring imagery taken behind the scenes of his tour. In one clip, Aldean addressed the crowd referencing the controversy around the song. “So, somebody asked me, ‘Hey man, do you think you’re going to play this song tonight?’. The answer was simple. The people have spoken and you guys spoke very, very loudly this week.” Aldean denied that the track has any racial undertones, taking to social media last week to write: “In the past 24 hours I have been accused of releasing a pro-lynching song (a song that has been out since May) and was subject to the comparison that I (direct quote) was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests. “These references are not only meritless, but dangerous.” The music video for the song features imagery of riots and protests and was pulled from the air by television network Country Music Television (CMT) in the US three days after it was first shown. Taylor Swift fans are selling rainwater collected during stormy concert
It’s well known that Taylor Swift has one of the most dedicated fan bases in music, and now one of them is trying to cash in by selling rainwater collected during one of her recent shows. Swift took to the stage in bad weather during her show in Foxborough, Massachusettes on Saturday (May 20). The singer braved the elements to serenade her fans and now one of them is looking to make a little cash after collecting some of the rainwater. Instagram account Only In Boston posted an image of an item selling for $250 (£250). Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter The picture shows containers with the words “Taylor Swift rain” and “Gillette stadium” written on them. The question is – is anyone fanatical enough to buy it? It’s not the first time a Swifty has tried to make some quick cash after a concert recently. Last week, people discovered a listing on Depop which listed a pair of contact lenses for a (literally) eye-watering $10,000. The post described the lenses as “contacts that have seen taylor swift eras tour [sic]” – but did eventually take down the listing and clarify it was a joke. It’s impressive just how far fans will go for Swift, though. A devoted dad recently decided to fork out over $21,000 (£16,000) for his daughter and her friends to go to a Taylor Swift concert after their tickets never arrived from StubHub.
