Cillian Murphy has addressed the sex scenes with Florence Pugh in Oppenheimer, calling them “f***ing powerful” and praising the acting talents of his co-star. Murphy plays the titular role in the Christopher Nolan movie, focusing on the “father of the atomic bomb” J. Robert Oppenheimer. The actor was asked about the sex scenes between Oppenheimer and his mistress Jean Tatlock, played by Pugh, and he described them as “perfect” and “not gratuitous”. Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, Murphy said: “Those scenes were written deliberately. And they’re not gratuitous. They’re perfect. And Florence is just amazing.” The actor went on to praise Pugh’s performance, saying: “I think she’s f***ing phenomenal. She has this presence as a person and on screen that is staggering. “The impact she has for the size of the role, it’s quite devastating.” Meanwhile, Oppenheimer has sparked controversy in India over a sex scene referencing the Hindu holy book Bhagavad Gita. Oppenheimer’s line “Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds,” is, apparently, true to real life. It also appeared in the Bhagavad Gita when the god Vishnu is trying to persuade Prince Arjuna that he should do his duty and to impress him, takes on his multi-armed form and says the same words. Sir Paul McCartney said artificial intelligence has been used to create “the last Beatles record”, which is set to be released later this year. The 80-year-old former Beatle said technology was used to extract late bandmate John Lennon’s voice from an old demo and “get it pure” for what he said will be the final song from the Liverpool band. He told Martha Kearney on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme that AI is an “interesting thing” and “something that we’re all sort of tackling at the moment” and trying to deal with. “When Peter Jackson did the film (The Beatles) Get Back, where it was us making the Let It Be album, he was able to extricate John’s voice from a ropey little bit of cassette and a piano. He could separate them with AI, he’d tell the machine ‘That’s a voice, this is a guitar, lose the guitar’. “So when we came to make what will be the last Beatles record, it was a demo that John had that we worked on and we just finished it up. It will be released this year. “We were able to take John’s voice and get it pure through this AI so then we could mix the record as you would do. It gives you some sort of leeway.” Sir Paul said there is a “good side” to AI but also a “scary side”. “We will just have to see where that leads,” he said. The singer-songwriter also spoke about his forthcoming exhibition to mark the reopening of the National Portrait Gallery, titled Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes Of The Storm, which incorporates unseen photographs taken by Sir Paul during the early days of The Beatles. The archive features more than 250 images taken between November 1963 and February 1964, which capture the emergence of Beatlemania through the personal lens of Sir Paul’s Pentax camera. The exhibition will run from June 28 to October 1 at the gallery, which has undergone three years of major refurbishment. It features portraits of Sir Ringo Starr as well as late bandmates George Harrison and Lennon, and manager Brian Epstein. Sir Paul said: “It is very poignant, it’s great because, whenever you lose someone, I think your natural thing is ‘Well, we’ve got beautiful memories’, and you hold fast those memories of the good times. “I don’t tend to dwell on the fact that you’ve lost someone. The highly anticipated autobiography made waves across social media from the moment it was published on 24 October, with shocking revelations from start to finish. Spears also gave the real heartbreaking meaning behind her hit 'Everytime,' in which she said she fell pregnant by the former NSYNC star. "I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated," she wrote. "But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young." Spears resorted to getting an abortion, adding: "I don’t know if that was the right decision. Now, Timberlake has turned off his Instagram comments, assumingly to avoid backlash after being criticised on X/Twitter following some of Spears' candid claims. According to the Daily Telegraph, Timberlake isn’t "too happy" with the autobiography, telling an insider he's "not okay with it" and it purely from her point of view. "Justin is not at all happy about what has come out in this book,” the source reportedly claimed. "Doing this book has given Britney life, and she really doesn’t care who is offended by anything in it because it is what happened. She was there and lived through it. No one can say anything.
