Timothee Chalamet told he's 'left etiquette at the door' for smoking at Beyonce concert
Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner's rumoured romance has social media in a chokehold after the pair were spotted kissing at a Beyonce concert in California. But now, attention has been turned to the actor puffing on a cigarette while in attendance. The viral clip of the pair at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Monday night (4 September) soon spread online, with many commenting on Chalamet's concert etiquette. "Imagine spending a bunch of money and being sooo excited to see Beyoncé on tour only to have Timothee Chalamet in the comfort of his little booth flicking cigarette ashes on your head," one person penned on X/Twitter. Another jokingly reiterated: "Imagine the cigarette ash of Timothee Chalamet fell on your head at Beyonce's concert?!?" Another found it offensive towards the 'Summer Renaissance' singer, writing: "Smoking cigarettes at a Beyonce concert i see we’ve left etiquette at the door…" "Timothee Chalamet smoking a cig at Beyonce’s birthday show for her to inhale does not sit right with me," another X/Twitter user wrote. Meanwhile, one person humoured: "Timothee Chalamet is legally required to smoke one cigarette at minimum per day to maintain french citizenship stop being mean to him :(". Speculations that Chalamet and Jenner were dating were rife back in April when Jenner was spotted at the actor's house. Around the same time, the pair went out for food, according to TMZ. Then, a source told Us Weekly: "Kylie has only hung out with Timothee a couple of times, so things aren’t that serious. However, she’s enjoying getting to know him better and is open to seeing where things go." Elsewhere, a source told Entertainment Weekly that the two are now dating and that they are "keeping things casual at this point." Why MrBeast is suing the company behind his burgers
MrBeast has confirmed that he is suing the company behind his burgers over quality control complaints, while also claiming not to have received payments. The YouTube star partnered with Virtual Dining Concepts back in 2020 to launch a chain of “ghost kitchens” which would act as “virtual restaurants” producing MrBeast Burgers. MrBeast, real name James Donaldson, is now taking legal action after the virtual chain was hit with complaints from users, Bloomberg reports. The lawsuit refers to the negative feedback from customers, reading: “Customers have referred to the burgers as being ‘disgusting’, ‘revolting,’ and ‘inedible'.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter “There are thousands of negative reviews, articles, and comments from people who are deeply disappointed by the fact that MrBeast would put his name on this product.” It continues: “Because the entire business is based on the tremendous global value of the MrBeast brand, it is MrBeast himself, and not Virtual Dining Concepts, who has borne the brunt of the (justified) attacks and criticisms.” The lawsuit also claims that MrBeast has not received payments. “To be clear, while this business has made millions of dollars, MrBeast has not received a dime,” it claims. MrBeast also responded to a user on Twitter who was unhappy with their experience ordering the burger by saying: “It’s impossible to guarantee the quality of orders with virtual restaurants. Hurts my soul to see orders messed up. Sadly I can’t get out of my deal with [MrBeast Burger]”, he said. “Hence why I’m never giving up control of Feastables so I can always do what’s best for my fans. Harsh lesson to learn.” Links to negative reviews and comments from customers are also included in the lawsuit. Have your say in our news democracy. Dolly Parton doesn't text because 'it's too much to think about'
Dolly Parton has been in the news recently for multiple reasons. Her new album Rockstar is the number-one in the US - the first number-one album of her career. She also stirred some conservatives over the outfit she wore at the NFL halftime show, which some suggested was inappropriate for her age. But now, she's going viral for sharing that she doesn't text. And honestly, same. Speaking to Drew Barrymore, the country star said "I don't want to talk to everybody that wants to talk to me. I don't text 'cause I don't want to have to answer." "If somebody calls me, I'll answer it if I want to talk to them or I'll call them back when I can," she continued. "Otherwise, I've got too much on to think about than to clutter my mind up with everything else." She clarified that she's "not a stupid person" and that if she really wanted to text she could "learn". "I'd rather just have my fax machine and [they can] call in creative stuff to my crew. I just don't have time to sit with a phone in my face all day." And she might have a point. Psychotherapist Maggie Mulqueen wrote for NBC that texting, although offering us a higher quantity of interaction, actually decreases the quality of relationships. "Texting breeds not just grammar and spelling illiteracy but, more importantly, emotional illiteracy as well," Mulqueen wrote. So maybe we should all try to be a bit more like Dolly Parton.
