LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: YouTube streamer Darren Watkins Jr., also known as IShowSpeed, recently hosted one of his most significant streams of the year, which saw a peak viewership of over 150,000. However, the stream delved into a complex situation involving his alleged girlfriend, Aaliyah Wasko.
A heated argument erupted during the stream in response to footage of Aaliyah interacting with another individual that had gone viral on his Discord server. Among the widely shared videos that gained attention was one featuring Aaliyah in bed with another person (@guprandy). It's crucial to clarify that the aforementioned video was neither intimate nor erotic. Instead, it simply depicted the two individuals lying in bed together and sharing light-hearted banter.
What happened between Speed and Aaliyah Wasko?
IShowSpeed's unofficial girlfriend, Wasko found herself in the spotlight on November 30 as some clips of her with another guy (Randy) were leaked.
These videos then found their way over to Darren's Discord channel. While there was nothing graphic or explicit in the widely shared videos, Aaliyah did appear in a few touchy TikTok videos with Randy (including one in which the latter caressed her).
The entire drama unfolded when the guy she was seen with, Randy, took the initiative to share a series of screenshots and pictures. In addition to this, he made allegations that she had informed him of using IShowSpeed for 'clout'.
However, Aaliyah asserted that nearly all of those video and TikToks were shot in October, when she wasn't in constant communication with the streamer.
However, it's important to remember that the two did start working together again in November 2023. She went on to say that the video of them in bed was taken after one of her drunken nights, during which he had escorted her back to her room and insisted on spending the night—much to her disappointment.
When did IShowSpeed meet Aaliyah?
Aaliyah, who is often introduced as 'gurl' in the streams, was first featured by IShowSpeed in 2022. He said he had a crush on her in high school. As time went on, the two became closer and had several on-stream discussions.
The streamer and her also worked together in an in-person stream back in April 2023, when they were spotted attending their high school prom. After that, she didn't show up in his streams for a few months until November, when she and Darren started playing Fortnite duos.
However, as of now, IShowSpeed announced a breakup with her on his livestream. Speed also expressed reasonable doubts regarding the accounts of both Randy and Aaliyah.
