LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Ted Lasso' season three will reach its much-awaited end in a little more than two months from when it began. Like the second season, the third likewise contains 11 episodes. 'Ted Lasso' star Jason Sudeikis highlighted the character's warmth and optimism in an interview and his response has gone viral.

During the first year of the pandemic, 'Ted Lasso' season 1 debuted on Apple TV+ and went on to become an instant hit on a worldwide scale. At a time when the world seemed so hopeless, viewers definitely connected with the comedy show's cheery, feel-good vibe.

The tale revolves around Ted Lasso, an American football coach entrusted with leading the fictitious Barclay's Premier League soccer side AFC Richmond. Lasso must deal with his detractors from both within and outside the clubhouse in order to prevent the team from being relegated, together with his trusted assistant coach of many years, Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt). Along the process, Lasso joyously integrates himself into the neighborhood soccer scene and instills optimism in the squad and its administration, starting with the newly divorced team owner Rebecca Welton, who is portrayed by Emmy Award-winning actress Hannah Waddingham, as reported by Screenrant.

'I'd much rather view the world as Ted Lasso'

Jason Sudeikis described coach Ted Lasso's warmth and optimism in a '60 Minutes' interview. When questioned if it was intentional to develop a character with optimism and selflessness at their heart, the co-creator and star of the show, Jason Sudeikis, said, "To play the character [that way] was intentional. To play someone that was kindhearted, that didn't swear -- be like Teflon toward people's negativity or sarcasm -- a hundred percent intentional."

Sudeikis responded to '60 Minutes' assertion that "kindness and positivity can be transformative", by saying, "And so can the opposite. But if you had to choose one -- at that point of writing it and wanting to play it -- I'd much rather view the world as Ted Lasso."

'Ted Lasso warmed our hearts and made us believe in the power of positivity'

As the interview resurfaced, fans spilled their emotions for Ted Lasso as the finale streams today. One of the fans took to Twitter and wrote, "Ted Lasso warmed our hearts and made us believe in the power of positivity. It's bittersweet to say goodbye, but we can't wait to see how it all ends! Check my pin tweet, bro."

Another user spilled their emotion and penned, "The best thing about it to me is that he's positive in a real way. It's not like he's some fake guy, who doesn't see things. It's like, he sees what's going on, but chooses to see the bright side. OMG! I'm gonna cry. I love this show and character so much."

Another user wrote, "I'm not ready to say goodbye to Ted Lasso! Jason Sudeikis brought such a refreshing and wholesome character to life. It's no wonder we need more people like him in the world. Can't wait for the finale! See my bio bro."
