LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rumer Willis, the 35-year-old daughter of renowned actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, recently took to Instagram to share her emotions amid her father's battle with dementia.

The poignant post featured a throwback photo capturing a heartwarming moment from her childhood, where a shirtless Bruce joyfully held her in his arms.

Expressing her sentiments, Rumer captioned the nostalgic image with words that revealed her longing for her father. She wrote, "Really missing my papa today," evoking a wave of empathy and support from her followers.

Fans post heartfelt messages

Fans flooded the comments section with words of encouragement and understanding. One individual offered solace, saying, "He's still there just differently sending you love."

Another empathetically acknowledged the complexity of anticipatory grief, stating, "Anticipatory grief is so difficult to process at times. I'm sorry."

One wrote, "Hugs. It’s an odd kind of hard to miss someone who is still here. Dementia is a cruel beast."

"He is still there, play music talk to him hold his hand.. he isn't gone. He can hear you," replied one.

Bruce Willis' ongoing battle with frontotemporal dementia

This emotional post comes amid recent revelations about Bruce Willis' ongoing battle with frontotemporal dementia.

Rumer's sister, Tallulah, also shared her sentiments online, posting photos with their father and expressing her emotional connection with him.

“You’re my whole damn heart and I’m so proud to be your Tallulah Belle Bruce Willis,” she captioned a carousel of photos.

The family's announcement of Bruce's diagnosis earlier this year has led to multiple discussions about his condition. Glenn Gordon Caron, the creator of 'Moonlighting', a TV series in which Bruce starred, shared insights into Bruce's current state.

“The process [to get ‘Moonlighting’ onto Hulu] has taken quite a while and Bruce’s disease is a progressive disease, so I was able to communicate with him, before the disease rendered him as incommunicative as he is now, about hoping to get the show back in front of people,” Caron, 69, told 'The Post'. “I know it means a lot to him.”

Bruce's wife, Emma Hemming, also recently shared her emotional turmoil in an article for Maria Shriver's 'Sunday Paper'.

“When I’m able to get out for a hike to clear my head, it’s not lost on me that not all care partners can do that,” Heming Willis wrote in an article for Maria Shriver’s 'Sunday Paper'.

“When what I share about our family’s journey gets press attention, I know that there are many thousands of untold, unheard stories, each of them deserving of compassion and concern.” She added, “I want people to know that when I hear from another family affected by FTD, I hear our family’s same story of grief, loss, and immense sadness echoed in theirs.”
