LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Stephen Colbert, the celebrated host of 'The Late Show', has received a positive Covid-19 test result. Despite this, he will continue to host the show from the comfort of his home, per Deadline.

The show’s format remains unchanged, featuring a monologue and guest appearances, including those by actress Jada Pinkett Smith and comedian Ricky Velez.

This isn’t Colbert’s first time hosting remotely; he has previously broadcasted the show from various locations in his house during the pandemic, even from his bathtub.

This revelation arrives merely a few days after Jada Smith made public that she and her husband, Will Smith, have been separated for the past seven years.

The late-night show may be making a comeback, but it's not without hurdles. 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' is reportedly adapting to a home-based format after the host, tested positive for Covid.

The show will continue in a remote format, complete with a monologue. This is a setup Colbert is quite familiar with, having previously hosted the show from various locations in his home during the pandemic, including his bathtub.

"MEANWHILE... The Late Show will look a little bit different tonight because Stephen is At Home with Covid (he’s ok!), tweeted the team. "but be sure to tune in as the show will go on remotely with Monologue, Meanwhile, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Ricky Velez. #whatyearisit?"

Who are the other guests on The Late Night Show?

This week’s lineup includes other notable personalities such as Rachel Maddow, along with a performance by Caroline Polachek.

The show has been featuring a significant amount of indie rock this month, with performances by boygenius and Japanese Breakfast.

Additionally, Talking Heads, Keegan-Michael Key, and Elle Key will be making appearances. The show will also see the comeback of Jon Batiste, the former bandleader.

Last year, Colbert was forced to halt production on 'The Late Show' after testing positive in April and again in May.

Now, fans have been sending wishes to the host for his recovery. "I am so sorry to hear you have Covid again," tweeted a fan. "Please take care and get well soon. Please require audience and staff to mask again to mitigate the chance of this from happening again."

Another fan asked, "Why aren't you vaxxed, Stephen?" "I heard a little scratchiness in his voice last week! I was worried he had long covid. I hope that means no to LC," said another.

One person mentioned, "Oh Stephen!! I'm so sorry that you aren't feeling well--please take your time and follow the Dr.'s orders!! Looking forward to hearing that you are better soon!!"
