UPLAND, CALIFORNIA: During her pregnancy, Cherish developed what looked like leopard spots all over her face. She sought assistance from Dr Sandra Lee to find a solution for the problem, as she appeared on the most recent episode of 'Dr Pimple Popper' Season 9.

Dr Lee aka Dr Pimple Popper, is a dermatologist, skin cancer surgeon and cosmetic surgeon. She has made many guest appearances on TV shows and often makes videos on her own YouTube channel, giving advice and information about blackheads, acne, cysts, warts, Botox, fillers, liposuction and anything else that should not be seen by the faint of heart. There are many of us who draw certain satisfaction from seeing a pimple being popped and will be familiar with Dr Pimple Popper's job. Dr Lee, who lives in Upland, California, tackles some of the largest and most painful spots, lipomas and cysts on the show, which airs on TLC.

Who is Cherish on 'Dr Pimple Popper'?

Cherish admits on camera that she has "ugly brown spots" all over her face. Because of the patches on her skin, she "feels like a leopard." She characterizes her complexion as "very splashy," implying that she has a lot of dark and bright areas. It's somewhat unequal. Although surgery isn't unpleasant, she says that "it's very obvious that it has completely changed" who she is.

What happened to Cherish on 'Dr Pimple Popper'?

Cherish approached Dr Lee, concerned about her skin problem. Melasma, or dark spots on the face, neck and arms, can occur in pregnant women. However, these spots may linger for a long time even after the child is delivered. They are not dangerous, but they can be difficult to deal with. Sun protection, changing birth control methods and prescription topical treatments can all help you manage this common skin issue.

Melasma, commonly known as chloasma, is a harmless skin disorder characterized by brown or gray-brown spots. Melasma commonly appears on the face (primarily the cheeks, nose, and forehead), although it can also appear on the arms and neck. It may also appear on your upper lip, forming a dark patch known as a "sun mustache."

Melasma affects up to 50% of pregnant women, which is why it's also known as "the mask of pregnancy." People with darker skin tones are also more susceptible to the condition.

Where is Cherish from 'Dr Pimple Popper' now?

Melasma can be difficult to cure, but Dr Lee's pharmaceutical alternatives for managing the condition worked wonders for Cherish. Dr Lee suggested some medication to take as well as some topical medication to help Cherish and restore her confidence. In an update, she stated that she had been taking the medication prescribed by Dr Lee and that she was feeling better.

TLC airs new episodes of 'Dr Pimple Popper' Season 9 on Wednesdays at 9 pm ET.
