Wellingtons on 'Shark Tank': Here's how you can get ready-to-bake beef Wellington in the comfort of your home

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Wellingtons is a frozen meat company noted for its chicken, mutton, and other products. Chef Arya Alexander and Anastasia aka Tasha Alexander founded this company in September 2020 to supply people with great comfort dishes.

In 'Shark Tank' Season 15, Episode 3, Arya and Tasha hope the Sharks bite on Wellingtons, their ready-made beef (and other meat) Wellington company. The traditional recipe for a Beef Wellington is a tenderloin of beef wrapped in puff pastry, baked, and covered with pate de foie gras. The Alexanders do one better with their Wellingtons, referring to them as "Wellys."

The couple will pitch their unique idea to the Sharks—Mark Cuban, Kevin O'Leary, Lori Greiner, Barbara Corcoran, and guest Shark Michael Rubin—in the upcoming episode 3 of 'Shark Tank' Season 15. While we wait to see if the pitches have an effect on the Sharks, you can learn more about Wellingtons and its founder here.

What is Wellingtons?

Wellingtons is more than just another meal delivery service; it is a Los Angeles-based firm that has made a classic dish more accessible and adaptable. Wellingtons attempts to ease the process of eating high-quality meals in the comfort of your own home by specializing in ready-to-bake Beef Wellington and its numerous variants. With an emphasis on natural ingredients and no preservatives, the brand has gained popularity among people seeking high-quality meals without the hassle of complicated preparation.

Wellingtons was founded on a common challenge: the desire for the ideal supper. One pandemic night, founders Arya and Tasha found themselves bored with difficult or monotonous recipe selections. Rather than settle, they began on a culinary odyssey that resulted in the invention of their now-famous Wellington meals. They perfected their recipes over the course of three months, presenting them to friends and family every Wednesday. This venture was not limited to the conventional Beef Wellington; they also offered innovative variants such as Salmon Welly, Chicken Pot Pie Wellington, and even Breakfast and Burger Wellingtons.

Their trials were received with widespread acceptance, and Wellingtons now runs out of a commercial kitchen in Los Angeles. The firm, which is no longer a modest, home-based operation, has worked with prominent markets such as Locale Market, Goldbelly, and Pink Dot to distribute their Wellingtons countrywide. Arya and Tasha also married in June 2022, completing a beautiful conclusion to their culinary adventure.

Wellingtons products

Wellingtons has succeeded in making the traditional meal approachable and adaptable, appealing to a wide range of tastes and situations. Their product selection includes a variety of sizes and ingredients, so there is a Wellingtons for everyone.

Buffalo Chicken Welly Bites: For those who like their food spicy, these bites are made with chicken breast marinated in a special hot sauce and a touch of mozzarella to keep the flesh moist, all wrapped in puff pastry.

Cheeseburger Welly Bites: These bite-sized Cheeseburger Wellingtons are made with quality sirloin ground beef, grilled onions, fresh jalapeños, and sharp cheddar.

Breakfast Wellington: This meal features sharp cheddar cheese, turkey sausage, crunchy hash browns, and scrambled eggs wrapped in puff pastry and topped with 'everything but the bagel' flavor for morning or brunch fans.

Cheeseburger Beef Wellington: Two custom-blend beef patties are stuffed with cheddar cheese and topped with grilled onions and jalapenos, all wrapped in a sesame-seed decorated puff pastry.

Large Beef Wellington: This variation of the classic beef Wellington is meant to be shared. It comes with a 16-ounce Châteaubriand fillet mignon, making it a substantial dinner that can feed 2–4 people.

XL Beef Wellington: This one is for bigger groups, including a 32-ounce Chateaubriand fillet mignon. Like the Large Beef Wellington, it is suggested for 4–6 people and uses the company's handmade mushroom, garlic, and shallot duxelle.

Personal Classic Beef Wellington: For the purist, this recipe contains a center-cut fillet mignon, or Chateaubriand, covered in dijon mustard and wrapped in puff pastry with a shallot and garlic mushroom duxelle. It's then sprinkled with thyme, rosemary, and flaky salt.

Nutellington with Nutella: Finally, Wellingtons has a dessert option. To please those with a sweet craving, their version of a cannoli utilizes puff pastry instead of the typical fried shell and is filled with Nutella.

Who will steal the deal?

Arya Alexander and Tasha Alexander will pitch their business and its growth prospects to a panel of five Sharks. They must convince Mark, Kevin, Lori, Barbara, and first-time Guest Shark Michael that their company is worthy of a Shark investment. A good business plan, financials, and sales figures will impress the Sharks, but they must also show that they are capable of running the company to "Sharks standards."

Mr Wonderful aka Kevin could be interested in sealing the deal given he sees good figures in the near future.
