Paul Cattermole's death certificate reveals S Club 7 singer died of 'multiple heart issues'

WAREHAM, ENGLAND: Paul Cattermole has died from "multiple heart issues," his death certificate has revealed. Cattermole, who was best known for being a member of the pop group S Club 7 from 1998 until his departure in 2002, was found dead at the age of 46 in his ground-floor flat in Wareham, Dorset on April 6.

According to The Express, coroners discovered Paul died from a "cardiac arrhythmia, acute myocardial ischemia and severe coronary artery atheroma and intraplaque hemorrhage." The British Heart Foundation says that an arrhythmia is an abnormal heart rhythm that can affect an individual's ability to function. Myocardial ischemia is described as a condition that takes place when one's blood flow to his heart is reduced which prevents the heart muscle from receiving sufficient oxygen.

S Club 7 has rebranded themselves

Paul's mother, Linda informed about his death to the coroner. Following the singer's shocking death earlier this year, S Club 7 has rebranded itself. The band still plans to proceed with their reunion tour which they have dedicated to him but Hannah Spearritt, 42 has pulled out as she is dealing with her grief. The group will consist of 5 members now for the time being and their Instagram has been amended to "S Club."

Band member Jon Lee issues a statement

Band member Jon Lee said in a social media clip, "Sorry it's been a while since you've heard from us but in all honesty we've been in a bit of shock and it's taken a while for us to find the right words to describe how we feel about losing our brother Paul."

Hannah and Paul had an on-off relationship

The duo dated from 2001 before splitting five years later in 2006. The pair rekindled their romance again in 2015 only to go their separate ways again just months later. Hannah has already previously stated how devastated she is after she heard the tragic news and she "can't stop crying." Her fellow band members have also confirmed that she would not be joining them on the upcoming tour.

What did the band members say?

Jon Lee, Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett, Jo O'Meara, and Bradley McIntosh announced that the tour would continue without Hannah, with the production being renamed The Good Times Tour in tribute to Paul. "We're calling the tour The Good Times Tour in tribute to Paul because that was his song and all the fans know that was his song so it just feels right", Tina said according to Daily Mail. Rachel continued, "It's taken a time to process and get our heads round it all, and also taking time to share time together so that we can remember Paul and all the memories we had together." "It's just really sad," added Tina. "It's really, really hard to process it right now."

"We're all in so much disbelief and Paul was a big brother to us, all of us, and even to you guys out there. He truly was a unique specimen of a human being", Bradley said. "No one could ever, ever replace our Paul but he lives on inside each and every one of us." An emotional Jo said, "Whenever Paul walked into the room, you definitely knew he was there because he would just light it up with humour and love, and just a really special person." She continued while referring to Hannah's absence, "You've probably already noticed there's only five of us here today and although Hannah will always be a part of S Club 7, she won't be joining us on this tour. We wish her all the best for the future. However, the five of us are geared up and ready to crack on. It's going to be our tribute to Paul. So we are actually renaming the tour The Good Times Tour, which is the song that Paul was going to sing."

"And he's always going to be with us," said Rachel. "Such a huge part of this tour, so involved in everything that we are planning and we're just going to keep his memory alive and share it with all of you, and it's going to make it even more special." Jo, with a tear dropping down on her face said, "It will and thank you to all the fans who have sent so many beautiful messages to us all... We'll see you all really soon guys."
