What does Alexandra Davis do? Former reality star's defamation suit against Cowboys owner Jerry Jones gets dismissed by judge

DALLAS, TEXAS: Alexandra Davis, 26, is a legislative assistant and former reality star who appeared with her mother Cynthia Davis in the Style network show 'Big Rich Texas' from October 2012 to January 2013.

She claims to be the daughter of Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, and in 2022, she filed a lawsuit against him.

In the lawsuit, she alleges that Jones provided her mother with $375,000 and established two trusts as part of an agreement to prevent her from disclosing his paternity.

A federal judge has definitively dismissed another lawsuit brought by Davis.

In this case, Davis alleged that Jones, along with his lawyer Don Jack and family consultant Jim Wilkinson, intentionally attempted to depict her as "an extortionist and a shakedown artist," as reported by the Daily Mail.

Why did judge dismiss Alexandra Davis' lawsuit?

Judge Robert W Schroeder III stated in his 36-page order that some of the alleged defamatory statements were either true or "not defamatory."

The judge also determined that Davis did not establish a legitimate claim of actual malice under defamation law, as she only met the criteria for being a "limited public figure."

Nonetheless, the judge provided the plaintiff with an opportunity to revise their complaints and present arguments that the defendants did, in fact, exhibit malice when making prior statements that were subsequently published on the matter.

Andrew Bergman, one of Davis' lawyers, stated, "We are amending our pleading and we are pleased that the case is moving forward."

Davis and her legal team maintain that her motivation is not financial, although this assertion has been contradicted by Wilkinson, who accused Bergman of seeking a monetary settlement.

Jerry Jones has neither confirmed nor denied being Alexandra Davis' father

The 81-year-old married father of three has already provided Davis with almost $3 million, which includes a $70,000 Range Rover for her 'Sweet 16' celebration nine years ago, as confirmed by his lawyer, Jack.

The attorney states that he personally oversaw these financial transactions.

Jack stated, "On numerous occasions, I have made payments on behalf of Mr Jones to Cindy and Alex Davis." He also made the additional claim in 2022 that Jones covered Davis' entire tuition at Southern Methodist University.
