AUSTIN, TEXAS: UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan, during an episode of 'JRE' with NYT's Bari Weiss, spoke about the character of Ace Ventura from 'Pet Detective' and how it was transphobic.

The movie, which was formerly praised for its slapstick humor and Jim Carrey's supple facial expressions, has drawn criticism for what many now characterize as overt transphobia—a viewpoint that pundit Joe Rogan recently brought to light.

Joe Rogan calls Ace Ventura 'transphobic'

Rereading this favorite detective story, Joe Rogan—a man renowned for his sharp observations—found that the comedy had become more dated like milk than good wine.

"I didn't realize how transphobic that f*****g movie is. It is so insanely transphobic," Rogan exclaimed.

With much anticipation—or maybe fear—for 'Ace Ventura 3', the controversy surrounding the film's predecessor hangs over us. While discussing the problematic elements of the first film is necessary, it's also critical to acknowledge the advancements society has achieved since Ace's initial case.

Weiss remarked, "We've come a long way," highlighting the significance of not forgetting the past but rather drawing lessons from it.

Internet reacts to Joe Rogan's statement

The 'JRE' podcast clip on YouTube received numerous reactions from people. A user commented, "This guy still changes his views with every single guest," whereas one said, "Transphobia was not a thing. Now it is a thing. That's good." Interesting choice of words."

A user also wrote, "If he was talking to anybody else he would be calling it transphobic ironically. I love how joe has shown his true colors in almost every podcast except this one. He is definitely putting on an act with this broad."

Another person commented, "How can people not understand that he’s trying to portray the hysteria of our times in a comedic way, he doesn’t actually care about Ace Ventura! Anybody that’s watched more than 3 JRE podcasts would know that."
