NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Madonna is currently in a challenging situation as she continues to battle a serious bacterial infection. According to TMZ, she remains bedridden and is experiencing uncontrollable vomiting even after being discharged from the hospital. Due to her ongoing health struggles, she is unable to leave her bed in her New York City apartment, where she has been recovering since her release from the ICU.

Madonna reportedly pushed herself to the limit with intense rehearsals before her body gave out last weekend. Her children have been supporting her during her recovery, and no new start date has been announced for the tour. Madonna's family wants her to prioritize her well-being.

How long will it take Madonna to recover?

Madonna is suffering from a bacterial infection, which is an illness caused by the invasion and growth of harmful bacteria in the body. Bacteria are microscopic organisms that can cause various types of infections, such as urinary tract infections, pneumonia, skin infections, and gastrointestinal infections. Bacterial infections can range from mild to severe, and they are typically treated with antibiotics to eliminate the bacteria and relieve the symptoms.

The recovery time for a bacterial infection can vary depending on several factors, including the type and severity of the infection, the individual's overall health, and the effectiveness of the treatment provided. In some cases, mild bacterial infections may resolve within a few days to a week with appropriate treatment, while more severe or systemic infections may take several weeks or even months to fully recover from.

Madonna might be suffering from Sepsis

Madonna had been experiencing a fever for over a month prior to her hospitalization, a fact she kept hidden from everyone. She feared that seeking medical care would compromise her upcoming tour, which she had been diligently preparing for and sharing glimpses of on social media. Unfortunately, the delay in seeking treatment exacerbated the infection.

The exact nature of Madonna's serious bacterial infection has not been disclosed, but there are speculations that it could be sepsis, a potentially life-threatening condition where the immune system responds abnormally to an infection. Sepsis occurs when bacteria enter the bloodstream, which can happen through various routes such as cuts, wounds, or the digestive system.

'This might put her life in jeopardy'

Dr Stuart Fischer, a former emergency care doctor with extensive medical experience, believes that sepsis is the most probable explanation and suggests that Madonna should not have been discharged from the hospital prematurely, per Daily Mail. "This discharge might put her life in jeopardy. No matter how hard (celebrities) push you, you don’t discharge them so quickly. They may be a celebrity on the outside, but on the inside, everyone is the same and has the same organs."

Dr Fischer added, "Intense rehearsing and the stress associated with large-scale performances are undoubtedly risks for immunosuppression and unwanted health issues. It’s the responsibility of the physician to point this out. Just because someone is an international celebrity doesn’t mean they're invulnerable."
