FRANKLIN LAKES, NEW JERSEY: Melissa Gorga showed her followers the 'finally finished' appearance of her New Jersey home on June 25. In November 2022, when Melissa and Joe Gorga moved into their new home, they were slammed over the house design. Now many of her followers feel that the couple renovated the house due to backlash on social media

Melissa said on Part 1 of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Season 13 reunion, which aired on May 30, that despite moving into their new home in November 2022, they were "still doing a lot of work to the outside" of the house. That apparently includes the backyard and pool, which Joe Gorga reported were ultimately finished on June 14. "We got this done. Let me tell you something, it looks gorgeous," Joe stated in an Instagram Story video, stressing that The Pool Boss finished the pool just in time for Antonia Gorga's fantastic pre-prom party that night. "Love this."

'Finally finished'

Melissa took time during the reunion episode to speak to folks who had made critical remarks regarding the home's design. "First of all, I’m the one that has to live there," she explained. "So I don't care what anybody says."

Melissa and Joe's new house, which is now valued at $4.5 million, was reportedly undergoing substantial renovations in April. The 'RHONJ' pair moved into their Franklin Lakes property in November, which was valued at $950,000 at the time, and months later, images revealed that Melissa and Joe were making significant improvements.

A building crew was hard at work transforming Melissa and Joe's land into their dream house. The most visible difference between these images and those taken at the end of last year was the roof. Four triangle-shaped constructions on top of the roof were demolished, leaving only one in the center. The roof was being updated with "special metal roofing."

The Gorgas were also altering material on the frame, including "adding new bricks to the front" and "building a porch" that the town ultimately authorized. According to reports, Covid slowed everything down, including having permits authorized and specific furniture and materials supplied, so Melissa and Joe had to put in a lot of time and money to make it the house they desired. The house was ready to move into in November, but they have since upgraded key elements and made alterations to match what they had envisioned before the epidemic.

Melissa posted the final (hopefully for the time being) look of her home on Instagram on June 25. In the caption, the 'RHONJ' star wrote, "Finally finished 🖤 I’m so happy I found Dan & @planarchitecture so that when we could FINALLY resubmit our plans after all the COVID chaos that my true vision for this house could come to life… @joeygorga I know you wanted to kill me but I’m so grateful for you to make this happen so soon after moving in 🖤 #rhonj 📸 @mtcphotography."

'You really let people bully you into changing your house lmao'

Trolling the Gorgas for the continuous refurbishing of their home, one user commented, "When in doubt, blame Covid." Another posted, "Someone triggered you into changing a whole house lmao." Some felt this came after the Gorgas earlier received criticism on the design of their home when they first shared pictures with their followers, "Girl bye, you got dragged so you changed it." A fourth user asked, "COVID was responsible for the hideous original exterior???"

A user further commented, "R u sure it wasn’t all the meme’s about your house being ugly and looking like a 5 year old drew your front house plane." Another noted, "Windows are still wonky and unaligned!" One wrote, "You really let people bully you into changing your house lmao." "Blaming Covid for the awful original design," read another comment.
