'This production crew is shameless': Internet bashes TLC for bringing back Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi to '90 Day: The Last Resort'

FLORIDA: Some of the most contentious couples from '90 Day Fiancé' are returning to TLC. The new '90 Day: The Last Resort' spinoff will follow five familiar couples from the iconic reality show whose relationships have reached a breaking point. They'll all gather for a one-of-a-kind couples' retreat, where they'll have to confront their marital issues and finally decide whether to stay together or split up. The entire ensemble has yet to be unveiled, but we do know three of the five couples that will appear.

Angela Deem is returning to '90 Day Fiancé' in its spin-off program, 'The Last Resort,' which has shocked '90 Day' fans. But why bring her back if so many people despise her and unite against her?

'Can they work through their long-distance marriage?'

Angela returns to the franchise in '90 Day: The Last Resort,' the newest spin-off announced by '90 Day Fiancé,' which will air in August 2023. Angela, 56, and her 34-year-old Nigerian husband, Michael Ilesanmi, have been separated by distance while waiting for his visa approval. Furthermore, Angela was last seen in Season 7 of '90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?' where it was revealed that Michael cheated on Angela with a 30-year-old American girlfriend. Angela and Michael have remained together after the news broke, however, they did ignite divorce rumors in January 2023.

According to ET, Michael will virtually join Angela on '90 Day: The Last Resort' Season 1, proving that Michael and Angela are still dating. The pair is still in love, but their five-year long-distance romance has taken its toll on them. Angela and Michael are now physically and emotionally worlds apart. Out of the loneliness they feel without each other, both have made horrible judgments, one after the other. They have each accused the other of being disloyal. At the Florida hideaway on 'The Last Resort', Michael and Angela will be trying to forgive each other.

Angela and Michael will learn to trust each other again and overcome their communication gap in order to figure out how to stay close despite their distance, "or else break up for good." Angela is said to have shot the spin-off in January 2023, maybe around the time she and Michael parted for the umpteenth time. She and Michael's interaction might take place via video conversations when Michael is gone and still in Lagos. Angela and Michael appear to have decided to keep working on their marriage, since the Georgia lady has been posting about her Nigerian husband on Instagram.

'Glorifying domestic violence for $$ '

As soon as TLC confirmed Angela's return to the franchise, fans were quick to comment, "Angela and emotionally and physically abusive. If her actions on the show were performed by a man, those episodes would never air. Do us all a favor and remove her from your platforms." While others bashed the network saying, "Stop giving Angela a job!!!" Others chimed in, "We literally hate Angela, stop putting her on tv." A fourth user noted, "This production crew is shameless. Glorifying domestic violence for $$."

Some of the other viewers commented, "Nope. Won't be watching. I don't support abusers." One confused user commented, "I don’t get it. Everyone is BEGGING you to get rid of Angela and you still keep bringing her back." Another questioned, "How long is she going to milk this? Come in already. It’s all fake and scripted at this point." One more user wrote, "I refuse to watch. It’s pathetic at this point. I swear it’s been 8 years of Angela. Lord we are tired."
