ZURICH, SWITZERLAND: After a series of celebrations of life for Tina Turner, the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll has been cremated. The final resting place of her ashes remains unknown. However, an insider shared that the singer wished to have her ashes to be rested somewhere near and dear to her heart.

Turner scattered the ashes of her eldest son Craig Raymond Turner in the Pacific Ocean. He died of an apparent suicide in 2018. The 'Way of the World' singer's final wishes has not yet been disclosed. She received her final goodbyes from her family and close friends, including the television legend Oprah Winfrey at the low-key memorial service, according to Radar Online.

Turner 'enchanted millions of fans around the world'

Turner who battled a long illness died in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland on May 24. Announcing her death at the age of 83, a post on her official Instagram read, "With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music," and added, "All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly."

Six months before her death, Turner lost her second child Ronnie Turner with ex-husband Ike Turner. He was 62 years old when he died on December 8 following colon cancer complications. A medical examiner listed his place of death as "sidewalk" and first responders received a call from someone who informed them that Ronnie was having trouble breathing. Responders then pronounced him dead at the scene.

The legendary performer's firstborn Craig died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was found at his Studio City home in California. Craig was born to the singer and Ike's saxophonist, Raymond Hill. Ike then adopted Craig after he married Tina in 1962. The songstress then ended her "abusive marriage" with Ike in 1978 and married Erwin Back in 2013 who was by her side until her death.

Turner suffered from several health issues

Three years after her marriage, Turner was diagnosed with intestinal cancer three years and later underwent a kidney transplant with an organ donated by her husband Bach. She was also diagnosed with a form of post-traumatic stress disorder following her abusive marriage with Ike. "I had an abusive life, there’s no other way to tell the story. It’s a reality. It’s a truth. That’s what you’ve got, so you have to accept it," the singer said in the documentary.
