LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift's choice to change the words of her song 'Karma' surprised many people more than just her fans; Travis Kelce has since stated that he was astounded by what he heard.

Travis shared his thoughts on Swift's lovely remarks about him during her Saturday (November 11) night show in Buenos Aires on Wednesday's episode of his podcast, 'New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.'

Swift sang, "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me," with some alterations to the original lyrics. (The original line is, "Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me.")

Travis Kelce 'had no clue' to Taylor Swift's 'Karma' lyrics alteration

The NFL star and 'Anti-Hero' singer are one of the most popular celebrity couples in the United States right now.

Swift altered the lyrics of 'Karma,' her final song of the Eras Tour stop, to allude to her developing romance with the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs.

She sang, "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me," to thunderous applause from the crowd, and the 34-year-old Travis reacted endearingly.

During Wednesday, November 15, in an interview with his brother Jason Kelce for the 'New Heights' podcast, Travis mentioned how much fun it was to travel to Argentina to see Swift's Eras Tour.

Travis told his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason, with whom he co-hosts the show, "It was a whole bunch of fun," per Entertainment Tonight.

"How does it feel to officially be the guy on the Chiefs?" Jason posed to his brother on the show, which made Travis giggle and ask, "You mean Karma?"

The Chiefs tight end went on to say that after spending his vacation week traveling to Argentina, he was informed before that Swift, 33, might do something unique to acknowledge his presence in the crowd.

"Yeah no I had no clue that...," he started, but then changed his tone and admitted, "Well, I might have had a little bit of a clue, but definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, [it] still shocked me."

Jason, 35, made reference to the extensively shared fan video that showed the NFL player's response to Swift's shoutout when he added, "You could tell in the video" that Travis was taken surprised.

"I was like, Oh, she really just said that," Travis recalled.

Travis was in the audience with Taylor's father, Scott Kingsley Swift on Saturday, when the singer gave him a shout-out. Swift was seen kissing and hugging Travis at the side of the stage after the performance.

Travis also expressed regret to Swift's father on the show for not giving him a high five right after the singer altered the 'Karma' lyrics.

"Mr Swift, I apologize big guy. Man, I missed that. I never miss a high-five, too. Big high-five guy. It's the most electric thing you can do at an event and so, sorry Mr Swift," Travis said.

Fans react to Travis Kelce's response

Social media users and online fans couldn't keep calm and took to X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate Travis' response to Swift's on-stage 'Karma' action.

One fan expressed, "The most unexpected but wholesome crossover ever in celebrity relationships"

A second one exclaimed, "I hope it lasts this time, they seem to be so in love," while a third one added, "My goodness, they are so dedicated to one another. I hope this sticks. Go Taylor, Go Travis!"

One more said, "They’re such a cute couple like i really love this for both of them so much."

"The unexpected dedication adds a unique chapter to their interaction," typed another one.

Another one exclaimed, "Surprise revealed! The moment when I thought I had a clue, but hearing it directly from her still caught me off guard. The shock was real. Oh, she really just said that!"

One more came along, "I hope this one lasts and doesn't turn into a heartbreak song, I love them both."

"Every week I fall more and more in love with this man. I really do hope that the are Endgame," hoped another fan.
