What's MrBeast’s fitness mantra? YouTuber's contract of getting a tattoo of Eric seems to have helped

GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA: With more than 160 million subscribers, MrBeast is the biggest YouTuber in the world. He recently underwent a drastic physical transformation after following a strict fitness routine for over a year, and later, he took to social media to share before and after pictures of himself.

MrBeast wrote on Twitter, “Woke up and realized I was obese so I started lifting and walking 12,500 steps a day. Still got a long way to being yoked but I’m happy with my progress so far."

'We've held each other accountable'

It seems that MrBeast has achieved this milestone with the help of his fellow YouTuber and friend Eric Decker. In a recent interview on ‘The Colin and Samir Show’ on YouTube, MrBeast shared how he and Eric remained committed to a regular workout routine. He said, "Me and Eric, another YouTuber, we signed a contract where we'd work out every day, and if we didn't, we'd get a tattoo of each other. You're OK to have a day off, it's like an actual part of your program, so I occasionally have rest days. But for the most part, the last 310 days, we've worked out every single day, and we've held each other accountable, and it's been awesome."

MrBeast continued, "I was just so laser-focused on the channel, and I just realized one day, I was like 'I have not been working out or taking care of myself or anything.' Up to this point I've just been losing fat, it's harder to put on muscle when you're losing fat. But it's been fun."

What other steps did MrBeast take?

MrBeast said that his transformation was all thanks to lifting weights and walking 12,500 steps every day. He said, "All you have to do is work out for three months really consistently and then it'll just become part of your lifestyle," while sharing his advice for others to start their fitness or weight loss journey.

He continued, "I couldn't fathom a year ago 'how am I ever going to do this religiously, because we just have so much stuff going on, but now it's just truly a habit."

MrBeast said that he had been lifting religiously for 10 months with his trainer, accompained with good diet and good sleep. "I've gone from obese to just lean. I have a new found respect for jacked people, this takes forever lol," he tweeted on June 11.

He added further, "Was 40%+ body fat and now I'm sub 20% body fat, Give me 6 more months and I should be able to share some sick before and after pics."
