IShowSpeed's fans blame 'evil' T-Series after YouTube cuts short his first livestream from India over 'policy violation'

MUMBAI, INDIA: Streamer Darren Watkins, widely known as IShowSpeed, is one of the most well-known individuals in the streaming industry right now.

The streamer has engaged in conversation with some of the most well-known people in the world during his live broadcasts, including sports players Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar as well as global entertainment giants Kim Kardashian and Drake.

YouTube bans IShowSpeed video due to copyright violations over Bollywood music

On the other hand, Speed is renowned for his ability to travel the globe and participate in real-world streams for his fans, showcasing the cultures of nations like Scotland and Japan.

India was one of the most frequently mentioned countries the streamer wished to visit because of his admiration for Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and the Tunak Tunak Tun song by Indian artist Daler Mehndi.

As a result, on October 12, 2023, Speed landed in Mumbai, India, and was seen cruising around in a taxi. Later, he freestyled with Indian rapper MC Stan and even played a round of cricket on his stream.

The three-hour broadcast was unexpectedly cut short by YouTube due to "Policy Violations."

The copyrighted Bollywood music that IShowSpeed played during his cab ride, according to fans, is to blame for this. The record company T-Series owns both of the songs he performed, including Honey Singh's 'Blue Eyes' and Akon's debut Bollywood single 'Chammak Challo'.

The main argument for the removal is that IShowSpeed avoided playing copyrighted music on his car radio throughout the broadcast but ended up playing it on his speaker.

It's not a permanent ban, but Speed will need to be cautious moving forward because accumulating multiple strikes in succession could exacerbate the issue.

IShowSpeed fans criticize T-Series

The news about IShowSpeed being "copyrighted" was shared on X. The user mentioned, "IShowSpeed reportedly got copyrighted by T Series after playing Indian Music on stream."

As soon as Speed's fans noticed it they got furious and started criticizing T-Series' "evil" action. A fan wrote, "Tseries evil."

Another supporter requested the Indian channel to not "ruin" his visit to India, "@TSeries the man came to us showing respect and support let not ruin that please."

While a fan added, "He promoted those songs more than the T-series did in their lifetime."
