AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND: Controversial social media personality Andrew Tate had been detained in Romania with his brother for the charges of rape, human trafficking and organized crime. UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya reacted to their case on social media with a hilarious meme questioning the legitimacy of Tate's arrest.

Adesanya is a Nigerian-born professional MMA fighter from New Zealand, as well as a former kickboxer and boxer. He's known as "The Last Stylebender." Adesanya is among an increasing number of Nigerians creating a name for themselves in the MMA field. He is now signed to the UFC, where he is a Middleweight Champion and has a 20-fight winning streak.

'Seems Fake'

Adesanya tweeted a photoshopped image of the former kickboxer being handled by anime characters in handcuffs with, "Legit question… Is this how he was charged? Cuz it seems fake to be honest."

A user responded to Adesanya's tweet writing, "Seems more legit than their casefile."

Another added, "Wait for the court's outcome. No one knows what's going on."

'World right now is trying to soften us'

Adesanya seems to be a fan of Tate as he He spoke about the influencer on the 'Honey Badger Hour' podcast a few months ago. Adesanya heaped praises on Tate, saying that he, along with Jordan Peterson and David Goggins, was inspiring men to learn accountability in a world that seeks to weaken them, "Jordan [Peterson], Andrew [Tate], Dave Goggins, guys like that, they are the ones who are really pushing men to be accountable as men. You know, the world right now is trying to soften us," he said.
