LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have been together for almost 25 years, but they never signed a prenuptial agreement.

Prior to the release of Jada Pinkett Smith's memoir 'Worthy' on October 17, the 52-year-old actress has been sharing several shocking revelations regarding her personal life.

In her latest interviews with Parade, Pinkett said “Weddings are beautiful, but they can be very romanticized.”

Jada said, “I feel that was a very real moment for the two of us to look each other in the eyes, recognize that there would be tough times in this journey and to say to each other ‘No matter what, we’re going to figure it out."'

She revealed this was the reason that "we don’t need a prenup, because I’m making a promise that divorce won’t be necessary, that we will figure this out,’” she explained.

Seven-year separation and no divorce

The couple exchanged vows on December 31, 1997, in a simple ceremony in his mother’s backyard.

They are parents to two children, Jaden, 25, and Willow, 22, as well as Trey, 30, from Will’s first marriage to Sheree Zampino.

Despite being publically together, Jada made a shocking revelation on 'Today' show with Hoda Kotb that they lived “completely separate lives” from 2016.

"It was not a divorce on paper, but it was a divorce,” she added.

Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith are working hard to overcome relationship difficulties

Jada told Parade that they have been working hard together to overcome their difficulties.

“We all have our romanticized ideas of how it all should be, and it might not show up in that way,” she said.

"But at the end of the day, do you have someone at your side that you’re willing to go through tough times with and they’re willing to go through tough times with you? I’m very lucky that I can say, ‘Yes, I have someone that’s willing to do that,'" she added.

She also reflected to People about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock, sharing, "I thought, this is a skit."

“I was like, ‘There’s no way that Will hit him,’” Jada, 52, recalled, adding “It wasn’t until Will started to walk back to his chair that I even realized it wasn’t a skit.”

The first words she uttered to Will once they were alone after the show were “Are you okay?

In her revealtions for which she has earned riducule on internet, she also said she had issues with Chris Rock and that he had even asked her out on a date.

She also said that she and Tupac Shakur were "soulmates" but their relationship was platonic. While they had "those moments" of romance, they were not able to be together because they ultimately lacked that romantic spark.
