When did Erin and Ben Napier get married? HGTV's 'Home Town' stars thank 'lord' for 15 years of married life together

LAUREL, MISSISSIPPI: Erin Napier is grateful for her 15-year marriage. Erin and her husband Ben Napier married on November 22, 2008, and she pondered their anniversary in an Instagram tribute on Wednesday.

“I sometimes think of all the people in the world, and how the earth is just this tiny dusty speck in the universe,” she noted. “And somehow, we managed to find each other.”

“Thank you, Lord, for 15 years in a marriage that feels like home and comfort and assurance and strength and LOVE,” the post resumed.

“We are so lucky to have found each other young and grown up around each other, forming these identities. I love you, @scotsman.co. 🥹❤️”

The touching note came with two images of the couple on their wedding day. They embrace while staring into each other's eyes in the first. In the second, they are smiling as they exchange vows in a chapel.

How many children do Erin and Ben Napier have?

When it originally aired in 2016, HGTV's multi-series franchise 'Home Town' made a big impression on the network. Ben and Erin, the show's primary characters, have subsequently strived to expand their business and family.

Ben and Erin reside in Mississippi with their two children in a gorgeous 1925 Craftsman-style house. Helen and Mae are the couple's daughters.

Erin and Ben had their first child, Helen, in January 2018. Three years later, in May 2021, their family expanded once again with the arrival of their second daughter, Mae.

When did Erin and Ben Napier first meet?

Ben and Erin were engaged in September 2007. According to a long 2019 Instagram post by Erin, the couple met in their college yearbook room back in 2004.

"I was design editor and for two years had noticed him, always the center of attention, everyone's best friend, my biggest crush," she wrote.

"December 8, we took the photos for the yearbook. December 9, we went on our first date and he met my mama. December 10, we looked at the Christmas lights in Mason Park. December 13, we decided we would get married someday. It sounds crazy to you, maybe. But it makes perfect sense to me."

The couple officially married in November 2008.

How did Erin and Ben Napier star in 'Home Town'?

As it turns out, these 'Home Town' stars had never imagined themselves on television. In fact, they acknowledged that they'd just recently begun watching series like 'Fixer Upper' when an HGTV producer asked whether they'd ever considered making their own show.

In the end, they opted to sign on for 'Home Town,' because "anything that can draw some positive attention to our town, we're game," Erin says.

Erin and Ben, it turned out, had no experience with home renovations. Erin holds a degree in graphic design, while Ben holds a degree in history.

Before they received the program, the pair kept busy by operating their modest companies in Laurel: a furniture store, a stationery store, and a home goods store.

While Ben and Erin may not have had much experience restoring homes before the program, it is evident that they picked it up quickly.
