NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: NBC’s ‘Today’ hosts Dylan Dreyer and Craig Melvin reportedly remained absent from the morning show as their seats were filled in by a surprising fill-in host on the ‘Today 3rd Hour’ segment.

During a recent ‘Today’ episode, Craig Melvin and Dylan Dreyer continued to remain absent as the hosts enjoy their vacation time. Although the ‘Today 3rd Hour’ segment is usually joined by Al Roker, Sheinelle Jones, Craig Melvin, and Dylan Dreyer, however, Dreyer and Melvin were still absent from the ‘Today’ show on Monday, July 24. The duo’s replacement was filled in by surprising host¸ Savannah Sellers. While Melvin has been continuously seen missing from the show for the past two weeks, Dreyer recently took her time off for a vacation with her family.

Who is Savannah Sellers?

Born on August 26, 1991, in San Diego, California, Savannah Sellers is popularly known as the American journalist and correspondent who gained wide recognition for her on the NBC News program ‘Stay Tuned’. Sellers hold multiple roles at NBC News, including anchoring ‘Morning News Now’ on NBC News NOW and co-hosting ‘Stay Tuned’ on Snapchat. She is also a correspondent covering various topics, with a particular focus on issues impacting Gen Z and millennial audiences. Beginning her career in New York with the NBCUniversal Page Program, she later worked at ‘NBC Nightly News’ and served as the executive assistant to the president of MSNBC. Her contributions as a producer on the ‘Hooked: America's Heroin Epidemic’ series for ‘NBC Nightly News’ earned her a News and Documentary Emmy, and she was honored with the 2022 Gracie Award for Online Video Host. Sellers reportedly completed her graduation from the University of Colorado at Boulder’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication and also holds a degree in Broadcast News and International Media. She is married to Alex Yaraghi, an investment analyst. The couple met at a bar in New York City’s West Village in 2017 and tied the knot on September 2022.

Where are ‘Today’ hosts Craig Melvin and Dylan Dreyer?

During a ‘Today 3rd Hour’ segment, Craig Melvin and Dylan Dreyer who usually sit behind the hosts’ desk were absent from Monday’s broadcast. Before the segment, Melvin often joins Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb at the desk, however, Kotb and Guthrie introduced the segment alone. When it came to ‘Today 3rd Hour’, Roker and Jones were surprisingly joined by a fill-in host, Savannah Sellers, who was replacing Melvin and Dreyer’s absence. Lately, Jill Martin, Maria Shriver, and Keir Simmons have been filling in for the hosts, however, it’s not yet known when the two hosts will be back from their vacations.

Last week, Melvin’s whereabouts were revealed by her wife, Lindsay Czarniak, who gave an update on her social media. She has been posting photos and videos on her Instagram of herself, her kids, and her family at the beach. On the other hand, Dreyer also updated her followers on her Instagram that she and her husband, Brian Fichera along with their three sons are traveling as the family faced a little mishap at the airport.
