'You're scaring my kids': 'The View' host Whoopi Goldberg blasts Sara Haines over sensitive topic on live TV

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ host Whoopi Goldberg never misses the chance to rant and share her opinions with her co-hosts on live TV. Although she often engages in playful and witty exchanges, creating an entertaining and sometimes intolerable dynamic, she does have her days when things can go a little out of hand. Recently, she blasted co-host, Sara Haines, on-air while the ladies discussed LGBTQ+ rights.

On Friday, June 9, ‘The View’ broadcast, fans were taken aback after witnessing host Whoopi’s outburst both on and off the air. The ladies on the panel talked about LGBTQ+ rights. However, Haines' opinion was slammed by Whoopi after she shifted to discussing gender-affirming surgery for minors. The heated argument between the two was awkward to watch as Whoopi criticized Sara for ‘not being helpful’ and ‘scaring the kids’.

‘This is on your hands’

During a recent episode, ‘The View’ hosts shared a clip from the White House claiming that President Biden is working to protect the community. Whoopi asked her co-hosts about their beliefs regarding the potential outcomes of the efforts, igniting a passionate response from political strategist Ana Navarro. The Nicaraguan-American commentator, Ana, exclaimed that Republicans are using anti-LGBTQ+ policies to scare people to the polls to vote “out of fear, anger, stress." She continued, “Through the paranoia and stress that drag queens are coming for your children. People, let me tell you this. Drag queens don't even like children - they don't tip and they don't drink!”

After she concluded, Sara Haines stepped in adding, “Yeah, and people aren't bringing kids to drag shows. There are drag readings where it's children's reading material and they're reading and entertaining them because drag is a performance art. I love a drag show, it doesn't mean my kids belong there right now. But it's not because of the drag queens, it's because of the sexually explicit language and some things. That's all."

After her statement, she shifted the topic to discussing gender-affirming care and claimed that the number of minors seeking so-called top surgery is far less than the number of minors getting breast reductions. She mocked people that do not support those who need the surgery.

However, she was suddenly interrupted by Whoopi who yelled, “None of this is anybody's business!” She ranted, “This is the part that I don't understand. You are telling me that I don't know my family. You're telling me I don't know my kid. I'm telling you, you don't know my kid. You don't know what I'm going through. You don't know what I need and you're not asking me."

Whoopi blasted Haines as she concluded the topic, “You're not helping me. You're scaring my kids. You're making them feel like they don't deserve to be here and they don't deserve to live. This is on your hands. This is what we're dealing with."

Whoopi Goldberg’s love for 'Diablo' game

Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg ranted on her recent Instagram post which featured a video detailing her love and fury over a new popular game. She went on Instagram Live from her dressing room to complain about the latest installment of the 'Diablo' franchise.

In the video, she made a fuss about 'Diablo IV' which isn’t compatible with her Mac. She exclaimed being pi***d off, “This is me kvetching about my favorite game, Diablo. Which has been taken off Apple. I use Apple computers, that’s what I’ve always used to play Diablo. And suddenly now, Diablo 4 is not available to me on my Apple computer. And I already bought Diablo 4."

She appealed to Blizzard Entertainment, the company behind the game, “Blizzard Entertainment, this is Whoopi. You know how much I love Diablo. I would like y’all to let those of us who use our Apples to play."

She continued to beg the company to change the compatibility issue and ask when “the next launch” is going to happen. Whoopi further added that she was “excited” to play the game, however, is now really “pi***d” after discovering the incompatibility issue. She concluded the video by addressing her fans who don’t play the game, “Don’t spend time telling me how stupid it is that I’m talking about it."
